Curitiba, Brasil – April 23, 2025. Aganova announces the launch of a new in-line inspection project using its proprietary Nautilus system to detect and locate leaks and air pockets within the water supply infrastructure of the Integrated Water Supply System of Curitiba (SAIC), located in the state of Paraná, Brazil.
The SAIC serves over 4.1 million residents across 12 municipalities in the Greater Curitiba Metropolitan Region, operating approximately 340 kilometers of pipelines. The scope of the project will cover more than 100 kilometers of this critical network.
This strategic project is being carried out in partnership with Effico, and under the leadership of Sanepar, the public water utility of Paraná. The inspection campaign is scheduled to begin in April 2025 and will provide essential data to improve the operational efficiency, sustainability, and long-term resilience of the SAIC network.
The Nautilus system offers non-invasive, in-line inspections that operate while the pipeline remains in service, providing accurate leak and air pocket localization without the need for service interruptions. This aligns with the project’s goal of enhancing network performance while minimizing operational disruption.
